Wanna be in the GOLD season finale?

March 08, 2009 | David

In order to close out Season 1, we need the help of you, our fans.

We’re almost finished filming GOLD Season 1. We’ve got four days of filming left for the Season Finale. It’s amazing, after a year, to be so near the goal line. But in order to cross this line, we need your help: we need extras for three of the last four shooting days. Here’s the skinny, without giving too much plot away:

March 21, 2009 (Saturday), North Hollywood, CA (1/2 day - morning)
In the Season Finale, there is a flashback to the Goblins & Gold Semi-Final tournament—the game where Jonathan got the injury which forced him off the team. The semi-finals of course, have spectators, and so we need some people to play fans of the American team. Spectators can be any age/race, and should be a mix of the geeky and more traditional sports fans. These are rabid fans with strong loyalties to their country and their team. Several of the fans with strong looks WILL BE FEATURED with reactions to the what happens to Jon. Dress: Sports-fan type clothes, especially anything red, white and blue or with an American flag (these are fans of the American team at a world sports event). Also appropriate: geekwear (shirts, etc. with geeky content, sci-fi/fantasy references, etc.).

March 28 & 29, 2009 (Saturday and Sunday), Burbank, CA (2 full days, approximately 8AM to 4PM)
The bulk of the Season Finale takes place at a BBQ in Jackson’s back yard—a party Jackson is throwing for the competing G&G teams and other notable members of the World Wide Gaming Consortium. We need some folks to be those notable WWGC guests. Guests at the WWGC party can be any age/race/gender. These are professional people who work in the role playing games industry, from executives to support staff. Many of these guests will be FEATURED with the leads as they react to what happens at the party. Dress: casual nice dress for a business-related outside BBQ.

Shooting GOLD is a great experience—we’re a bunch of friends getting together to make something great—something we all believe in. It’s a lot of fun. We’d love at least some of the extras we bring in to be fans who feel the way we do about GOLD.

Anyway, please let me know if you are interested. If you have a headshot and acting resume, please send them via email. If you don’t have a headshot and resume, you’ll still be considered. Just send a snapshot and let us know why you are interested in being an extra. Please send everything to goldtheseries@gmail.com ASAP.

Thanks so much for watching GOLD, and for being a part of our community.
