GOLD wraps up shooting this weekend, and needs a few extra folks. Do you think you can take the hits?
For the second weekend in a row, I’m putting out a call for extras to help us with the filming of the season finale of GOLD.The good news this time is that, instead of being 15 people short, we’re only 6 or 8 people short.
Basically, the pitch is this: Saturday, Sunday or (preferably) both days, you come hang out with us in a pleasant backyard BBQ atmosphere in Burbank. While you are there, you eat BBQ food and yummy sandwiches and snacks, converse with other extras and play croquet (all under the director’s choreography), while we film scenes around you. On Sunday, you are witness to a huge nerd fistfight between me (Jon in GOLD) and Rick Robinson (Richard in GOLD).
It sounds bizarre, but it is actually a fun and relaxing way to spend the weekend. Extras don’t get pay, I’m afraid (nor does anybody else on set, sadly), but you get credit in the series (which extras don’t normally get) and good food and drink, and the company of an awesome group of people. And my eternal gratitude. I’m especially interested in folks who can come both days, but if you can only come for one day or part of one or more days I’d still love to hear from you.
Below is a description of what we’re looking for, and the times we need folks for. Please drop me a line and let me know if you are interested: goldtheseries@gmail.com.
Thanks so much,
-David

This day is full of very technical shots, which means there may be quite a bit of sitting around. We appreciate your patience as we all work together to get the best shots possible.
Costume/Makeup Reminder:
Dress: clothes you’d wear to a BBQ party with people with whom you work. Casual clothes are fine so long as they are clean and nice. Sport coats are fine, but not necessary, and no fancy suits, please. Dresses are also nice, but no formal wear—this is a back-yard party. It may be a little chilly in the mornings, so please bring a jacket or light sweater. No shorts, please.
Hair/Make-Up: Please come with hair and make-up camera-ready (this is a casual event, so just basic, everyday hair and makeup - look nice, but not like you’re going out for the evening).
